Mentoring Programs

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Bucks County: This program matches a child with a mentor. The mentor develops a meaningful relationship with the child and helps work on the child's social and leadership skills. For more information, please call (215) 343-8260 or visit www.bbbsbc.org

Family Friends Project: This program matches a child with a volunteer who can mentor the child. The volunteer helps to resist family stress and isolation, increases youth self esteem, and promotes healthy relationships. Volunteers visit with the child on a weekly basis. Kids in Care Project: This program is designed for children who are currently in residential treatment facilities. An adult volunteer mentors the child and visits with the child on a weekly basis. For more information on this program, please contact Dawn Hoopes at 1-800-770-4822 ext. 1442.

Plant a Seed Inspire a Dream Foundation: This agency connects children from age 10 to 18 to pursue their passions and interests in athletic, artistic, musical, and creative activities led by positive role models. This program is available to low-income households and is located in Yardley, PA. This agency hopes to make a significant difference in the lives of children by encouraging their dreams.
