Flyer titled "Turning Hunger Into Hope" with information about students packing meals and fundraising for the Feed My Starving Children organization. For the fourth year in a row, Quakertown Community High School students will be heading to Delaware Valley University to pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children.

The event is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7. Students interested in participating must pick up a permission slip in the Main Office and return it signed no later than Wednesday, Sept. 25. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Soto in the Main Office.

“This is something the kids are very passionate about that strengthens our community,” said Juan Soto, an administrative intern at the high school. “They’re out there trying to make a difference and save lives by helping others less fortunate than themselves.”

The effort benefits Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food to people in developing nations.

In addition to packing meals, students are fundraising with a goal of $2,000 for the event, Mr. Soto said. On Friday, Oct. 4, students will be setting up two tables inside Alumni Field to raise money before and during the 7 p.m. football game between the Panthers and Upper Dublin.
