Quakertown Community High School’s (QCHS) counselors are hosting three Parent Information Nights (two for the senior class and one for the junior class) to provide parents and guardians guidance and advice for their students’ next steps and timelines in the college application process.
The first information night will be held Monday, Sept. 16 for parents and guardians of current senior students to discuss the college application process. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Quakertown Performing Arts Center (QPAC) of the high school. The event will be led by Mr. Eric Gozzard and Mrs. Patty Sabol who will go over the general timeline for college applications, the process for submitting required documents, and tips for helping your student through the college application process.
The second information night will be held Monday, Sept. 23 for parents and guardians of current senior students to discuss the financial aid process. The event begins at 7 p.m. in QPAC of the high school. The event will feature guest speaker Fran McKeown from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). She will discuss the importance of applying for federal financial aid and its timeline. The night will also include tips for attending college in a financially responsible way. Parents who attend this night will get a copy of the 2025-26 Pennsylvania Student Aid Guide.
The third information night will be held Monday, Oct. 14 for parents and guardians of current junior students to discuss the college application timeline and testing. The event begins at 7 p.m. in QPAC of the high school. The event will be led by Mr. Eric Gozzard and Mr. Owen Breininger who will break down the college timeline from junior through senior year, college testing, and tips for a successful career and college search process.
