Quakertown Community School District’s Panther Marching Band finished first in their division at the USBands PA State Championships on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Kottmeyer Stadium in Downingtown, PA. Division is determined by the total size of the band. Group IV is the second largest and the open classification is the most advanced. This is a major milestone for the PMB, as USBands is a national competition circuit. The judging panel included judges from San Francisco, CA; Summerville, GA; Lakewood, FL; Boston, MA; as well as other parts of the country. Next up, the band will compete in the USBands National Championships on Nov. 4 under the direction of Band Director Rachael Urquhart.
