Pennsylvania Seal of Biliteracy Program

Quakertown Community School District multilingual students have the opportunity to be awarded the Pennsylvania Seal of Biliteracy (PASB). This distinction is awarded to students who illustrate intermediate-high proficiency in both English and another language at the time of high school graduation.  PASB encourages students to pursue the skills of biliteracy and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.

Seal of Biliteracy Overview is a document that highlights the program's objectives, benefits, and the importance of recognizing students who achieve proficiency in multiple languages.

To simplify the understanding of the Seal of Biliteracy process, we have created a Seal Flowchart that visually represents the steps involved from application to award.
