Board agenda includes COVID impact, instructional options
Posted on 10/07/2020

Good evening!

Tomorrow evening, October 8th, the Quakertown Community School District Board of School Directors will have a Special Called Meeting at 7 PM via Zoom.  The purpose of the meeting is for the School Board to receive an update on the reopening of schools. It includes a COVID-19 impact on staff and student attendance, a discussion of possible options and a recommendation for the instructional model for elementary schools. There will also be a timeline for reopening all secondary schools for live instruction five days a week.

At this link is the presentation for tomorrow’s meeting. Included at the end of the presentation are data on current class sizes and what class sizes could potentially become, and other information on what secondary school class sizes will be beginning the second marking period.

As always, the Board and I appreciate your feedback and thoughts.  If you would like to make a public comment to be read during the meeting, please click here for the form. We may be reached at [email protected]

Thank you.

Bill Harner

Superintendent
