Coaching
The coaching experience is a part of the job-embedded professional development opportunities and culture at Quakertown Community School District. Job-embedded coaching refers to the belief that professional development is most successful when it is personalized, teacher driven, part of the ongoing teaching and learning process. In the spirit of growth mindset, we believe that coaching should support each teacher's desire to grow professionally and personally.
 
All Quakertown Community School District teachers have access to the coaching support any day of the school year requesting support from any of the district coaches such as
All coaches work with teachers to compare perceptual data with objective data, build upon existing skills, pedagogy, and strengthen teaching practice in instruction and assessment. K12 Instructional Coaches use a very specific process for this known as the Before-During-After (BDA) cycle. In most cases, after the first BDA cycle ends, any new ideas or changes in teaching practice lend themselves nicely to the onset of a subsequent BDA cycle to focus on the success of changes made in teaching practice.
